Here is a very interesting video displaying the capabilities of a concept phone from Nokia and the University of Cambridge. The video's quality it a little annoying to watch, but it is very interesting - I wholeheartedly suggest watching it!
I love this idea! This is such a cool phone, I cant wait until it becomes reality. Although I have seen this on other blogs (including my own) the idea never gets old!
I love the idea of this phone. It is really cool how you can morph it into different shapes.. very convinient. It does so many things you would never think a phone would do like detecting chemical compounds in the air.. thats really awesome.
This is a neat idea. I like the way the creators combine art, social needs and science to develop their product. The art piece of the phone is the various colors and shapes it can be formed into. The simplicity of the phone and the multi functions it has give this phone the social and science enhancements it needs to be successful.
I think I remember this video. It must have been for this class, but I can't remember. Anyway, this looks like a cool phone. Liked the comparison to the fly transistors. Solar-powered through grass, that's rather original. Not having to be cleaned isn't too much of a plus, considering that regular cell phones don't really get dirty.
This phone looks awesome! I find it funny how we all want the best and latest cell mainly because of its appearance! Most phones have the exact same functions, but we always want the one that looks expensive and high tech!
You were right it was a little bit annoying to watch it but it was very interesting. It is a cool phone. Very convenient to do so many things and the colors and shapes I love that part. I agree with Robin most people want the latest in cell phones mainly because of appearance not so much on the features you would really need.

ReplyDeleteThis is cool to look at, at least. Though I'm not sure I see the functional/convenience purpose of the morphing.
