Are you going to have a room packed full of instruments? Or, a laptop with all that and more? The computer program (and ones like it) are out now... but it's only going to get better!

I like the fact that the software is being used as a teaching tool for collaborative work and a feedback tool. These are two of the most significant tools for anyone entering the work force. Learning to listen to others and accepting their ideas will be crucial to advancement in any line of work. Additionally, I try to listen to the person who is my hardest critic, even though they think they are hurting you, they are not, they find the flaws for you and all you have to do is fix them. I cannot comment on the technology itself because I know nothing about it nor do I want to know anything about it.
ReplyDeleteThis is a great way to teach students about music. It's also nice to have a teacher showing you how to use an instrument. Learning how to play an instrument using this software, can be a good way to help some students. Some students are visual learners and some learn better when not being "pushed" by the teacher. Some may just like it because it is on the computer, and they are great at using computers. This software may give them the push they need to learn about music, without being forced to (as the 5th graders at my school feel).
ReplyDeleteAnything that can be used as a teaching tool gets a thumbs up from me. Personally, I prefer to be taught by a teacher but this is another tool that will be useful.
ReplyDeletemusic has got a new dj with new equipment!
ReplyDeleteI think this software will be great! I think its really cool that you can learn a lot about music right there on your computer. It seems like it would be relativley easy to learn how to use!
ReplyDeleteMusic technology has change the industry forever, anyone can sing and you can sound good. I love going to concerts and you can truly hear the persons voice. I love ipods and music from the radio I believe it is okay that music is put on them and not on records anymore we should use technolgoy to save our planet.
ReplyDeleteI was never really too excited about music class. I may have been more interested if I had this. I can understand the need to be able to appreciate various forms of art.
ReplyDeleteIn the future, I guess our need for singers and instramentalists will be diminished with this.
I love music. I like what technology can do for music. It may take away from it in some ways but that happens with everything.
ReplyDeleteThis is a great tool to teach students how to use music software even for those who may not have a musical gift. It makes it more interesting that there is a visual studio element.
ReplyDeleteThis is a good idea, and can be very useful. But honestly, I would rather learn on an actual instrument...
ReplyDeleteI thought we already had software like this. The visual elements don’t look much different from the backgrounds of Windows Media players.
ReplyDeleteI worked on an apple display at my store (Best Buy) that incorporated a keyboard and a guitar directly into the computer system, and it was quite neat. this topic just reminded me of that. I really want to buy that setup just so I can jam out and record on my guitar while getting that visual quality too. Oh, and you can make your guitar or keyboard make any sounds you want, go from jazz to metal in a click
