Now for something a little random...
Okay, I know this technically does not have anything to do with shrinking technology (well, I could argue it, but it would be a pretty big stretch), but I thought this was really interesting and a great idea.

This parking system reminds me of the Coke Cola vending machines on the Newtown campus. This seems like a great idea with an extremely efficient use of space. I wonder how it will work out when you just want to drop something of at your car?
ReplyDeleteUnigue concept for sure and I don't have to worry about a parking lot attendant stealing the change out of my car.
ReplyDeleteI have actually seen something similar to this implemented in NYC and it seems to work out very well. It is definitely an efficent use of space and will make parking much easier! Also I hate parking in parking garages so if its going to do it for me then that makes my life easier.
ReplyDeleteparking can be the nucance of the night sometimes. weather you wind up parking to far or paying too much, its always a haasly when an enormous parking lot outside of wal-mart isn't part of the equation!
ReplyDeleteThis post made me think about how some future technologies may be taking away simple job oppurtunites. What will happen to all the VIP parking attendants. You could argue that it will open new jobs but much more complex jobs, that would require education on the system.
ReplyDeleteIt is just like a vending machine and sometimes some poeple do not want to wait for thier car...it would be great for a valet lot tho.
ReplyDeleteThis is so awesome! It would really help someone like me who always forgets where they park! Very easy and convienent and saves time from driving all around!
ReplyDeleteIt all seems nice and convenient, but what a waste of energy. With all this talk of going green, how much do you think it costs to perform such a task when all we need to do it walk to our car? or remember where we parked? come on people!
